TERMS & CONDITIONS OF PURCHASE OF A GLEBE.COM.AU SUBSCRIPTION OR SERVICE

Please read the following terms and conditions of purchase of Glebe.com.au online subscription and website services carefully before subscribing to Glebe.com.au. By using Glebe.com.au website and by agreeing to purchase a subscription for glebe.com.au services, you declare that you have read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with these terms and conditions please do not use the Glebe.com.au business and website services.

PAYMENT

A description of the product being purchased, the price of the product and the duration of the subscription is stated at the time of purchase.

When using a credit card via paypal your Glebe.com.au Business subscription is set to renew automatically at the regular subscription price to ensure that your business online service is uninterrupted and does not expire. This means that you will automatically be charged two days before the expiration date of the subscription period.

You can cancel the automatic renewal service at any time by clicking on the “Your Subscription” menu tab, when you are logged in to Glebe.com.au website. The latest date to cancel the automatic renewal and avoid future charges is two days before the expiration date of your website subscription.

Only fully paid business subscribers can list their business on Glebe.com.au and use the website as described in the subscription form.

Your Business must be a retail or commercial operation within the boundaries of Glebe as defined by the City of Sydney. If your business is located outside of this precinct your membership will be reviewed and maybe terminated.

Sometimes it might not be possible for Glebe.com.au to automatically renew your subscription. If we are unable to automatically renew your subscription then we will inform you by e-mail 7 days before your subscription expires. You will then be asked to login to Glebe.com.au and make the payment for the next subscription period.

You can review previous payments and print invoices by clicking “Your Subscription” when you are logged in to Glebe.com.au.

PRODUCTS, SERVICES AND ACCESS

As a Glebe.com.au Business User you are granted access to the Glebe.com.au platform when GCOC has registered your payment. When a payment is made using online payment systems e.g. a direct debit, you will have immediate access as soon as your payment has been verified. Other payment types may take some days to process before access is granted.

Glebe.com.au Business Users have a 14 day right of cancellation after the subscription has been purchased. If you use the service or product during this 14 day period, then your right of cancellation period is invalidated.

You are not authorised to create a community to support your business in order to host events and spotlights for your business in the community area. Any community created to support a business that advertises business events will not be published to glebe.com.au.

A compensation claim cannot exceed the original subscription price. Please note that the online Business Registration is only for use by the user who registered the business and may not be shared or lent using password sharing, transferred, resold or in any other way redistributed.

Glebe Chamber of Commerce (GCOC) reserves the right to suspend and/or terminate any business registration if glebe.com.au discovers that third parties are using promotional offers for unauthorised financial gain or commission.

Downtime means periods of unavailability or limited availability of the Glebe.com.au online service. Glebe.com.au does not guarantee availability of the business service and cannot be held responsible for any downtime or difficulties in accessing the service, which can occur occasionally for updates and maintenance. Furthermore Glebe.com.au is not responsible for any downtime caused by third party providers, Internet providers etc. or for downtime caused.

GCOC reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions. GCOC reserves the right to change subscription prices at a minimum of fifteen (15) days notice. We reserve the right to require you to change your login details whether for security or any other reason.

TERMS & CONDITIONS for using the Glebe.com.au product

You hereby agree that you will only use the service strictly in accordance with this Agreement, and specifically that you will provide accurate and complete information in connection with establishing your Business or Community Registration.

PLEASE NOTE: Your Business or Community Registration and subscription product is provided under the absolute condition that it may not be used to publish or support offensive content of any kind. This includes unsolicited commercial emailing, bulk emailing, defamatory speech, distribution of Internet viruses, worms, Trojan horses and other destructive activities, pornography, stalking or abusive postings. You will not violate any laws in using the service. All content that GCOC deems offensive will be deleted immediately and without notice irregardless of the subscription status of your Business Registration or subscription. GCOC will not issue any refund for a Business that has been terminated for a violation of the above terms.

You agree that you will not use your Business Registration and subscription to solicit passwords or other personal information from third parties for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose. You agree that you will not falsely impersonate any person or entity or misleadingly represent your relationship to any person or entity. You agree that you will not present or send “spam”.

You agree that you are solely responsible for all content (data, text, images, photographs, video, messages, files or any other type of content) that you upload as part of your Business Registration Subscription. When creating spotlights and events, you are responsible for ensuring that your content does not infringe local or International copyright laws in any way. GCOC does not monitor or review content and is not liable in any way for the quality or nature of the content you have posted. GCOC is not responsible for any content you have posted on your Business Profile and cannot be held liable for any claim by you or any third party content owners.

If your content does not breach the terms and conditions, you are free to publish links to your business posting wherever you choose and there are no publication restrictions on your Business Posting. You are not permitted to use your Business Subscription to display photos that are published on third party websites.

GCOC cannot be held liable by you or any third party for loss or misuse of content, or for direct or indirect financial loss in connection with any content misuse of whatever nature.

GCOC cannot be held liable for misuse of your password, whether caused by your negligence, or by the password or glebe.com.au being hacked.

GCOC reserves the right to grant the police or a court of law access to the content you have posted on your business subscription and associate web content. In the event that GCOC believes that a Business Subscription or Registered user content contains illegal content (e.g. child pornography etc.) or facilitates or takes part in illegal activities, GCOC reserves the right to suspend or terminate your content without prior notice and inform the police of the illegal content/activity and your identity.

GCOC reserves the right to terminate or suspend access to our services and/or block your registration without prior notice.

GCOC reserves the right to delete an inactive Business and all posted content 3 months after a subscription expires. This means that a Business Subscriber owner has a 3 months period after the expiration date of the subscription to renew the subscription.

GCOC cannot be held directly or indirectly responsible for any loss of any kind in connection with terminating and deleting the Business Registration. GCOC cannot be held responsible for any loss of any kind in the event that the glebe.com.au service is partly or wholly unavailable.

By registering to glebe.com.au and providing your e-mail address, you expressly agree to receive promotional content from GCOC, by e-mail, from time to time. If you wish not to receive such promotional content / notices, you may notify GCOC at any time or unsubscribe directly in our e-mails. Note that there are certain communications from us, you cannot unsubscribe, Including notices of transactions on your account.
